Institute of Hematology and Immunology: Towards Certification in Good Clinical Practices

Authors

Abstract

Good Clinical Practices (GCP) are a set of international standards, applied and respected worldwide, designed to protect subjects and ensure the integrity of clinical trials. The Institute of Hematology in Immunology (IHI) is a tertiary care center that has been involved in the development of clinical trials for years, but has not yet been certified by GCP. This communication addresses the main aspects that justify the process of this certification at the IHI. In this communication is made a brief approach to the certification process of Good Clinical Practices based on Regulation number 52-2008 of the CECMED; the role of the CENCEC in the diagnosis of compliance with the requirements for preparation for certification and the accumulated experience in the institute that makes it in a position to begin the preparation process for Certification in GCP.
